ÉLÈVES À L’ŒUVRE (EAO) – « MATIÈRE À RÉFLEXION »

This initiative is a partnership between the Frac Grand Large – Hauts-de-France and the Academic Delegation for the Arts and Culture (DAAC), with the support of the Nord and Pas-de-Calais departments.

The 2025–2026 edition has been structured around the theme of materiality, reaffirming that a direct and sensory encounter with the pieces in the collection is essential to grasping their meaning.

In response to the loan of artworks, teachers have worked with their pupils to develop creative art projects linked to the pieces from the collection on display in their schools. These works are being showcased in the Halle AP2. The pupils present a variety of media there: photography, writing, sound art and performance. The design objects from the collection, which have inspired their thinking and imagination, will also be on display on the first floor of the Frac.

With the participation of: The CM1 and CM2 classes at the Georges Brassens School in Coudekerque-Branche; the Year 8 and Year 9 CHAAP classes at La Morinie Secondary School in Saint-Omer; the Year 7 classes at Maurice Schumann Secondary School in Pecquencourt; the Year 7 classes at Josquin des Près Secondary School in Condé-sur-l’Escaut; the Year 6 classes at Joliot Curie Secondary School in Lallaing; the Year 3 classes taught by Céline Pagniez and Laëtitia Wacrenier at Leclerc–Clémenceau Primary School in Lallaing; the Year 1 classes taught by Antoine Lecompte and Nathalie Kadri at the Leclerc–Clémenceau School in Lallaing; the Reception classes taught by Laurent Vilette and Valérie Dufour at the Leclerc–Clémenceau School in Lallaing; the Year 7 classes at Madame de Sévigné Secondary School in Roubaix; the Year 6 classes at Madame de Sévigné Secondary School in Roubaix; the Year 7 class for adapted general and vocational education at Jean Jaurès Secondary School in Bourbourg; Bernadette Lavieville’s reception and Year 1 classes at Spycker Primary School; Karine Desoutter’s Year 6 class and Nadia Blockelet’s Year 5 class at Saint-Pierre-Brouck Primary School.
