For several years now, the Frac Grand Large has been committed to a policy of developing activities for visitors with specific needs, with the aim of providing a cultural and artistic space that is accessible to everyone. The Frac Grand Large ensures accessibility and a comfortable visitor experience throughout its premises. To meet everyone’s needs, the Frac provides visitors with tailored services.

PEOPLE WITH HEARING IMPAIRMENTS/DEAF PEOPLE
TOUR IN FRENCH SIGN LANGUAGE
Tours in French Sign Language (LSF) are organised from time to time by the Frac in partnership with the Accesourds du Littoral Dunkerquois association. Outside public opening hours, why not enjoy a guided tour of the exhibitions in the company of the curators and guest artists!
MAGNETIC LOOP
A loop system has been installed at the Frac for visitors with hearing impairments who use hearing aids.
PERSONS WITH VISUAL IMPAIRMENTS OR VISUAL DISABILITIES
- An audio guide is available free of charge for visitors with visual impairments. It provides an audio description of the building’s architecture and its storage areas.
- The Frac has a tactile, thermo-expanded booklet that allows visitors to explore the building’s architecture with their fingertips.
- The exhibition texts are translated into Braille.
- To make reading easier, e-readers are available to the public on request.
- Guide dogs and assistance dogs are welcome.
- Walking sticks with tips are permitted within the Frac.
SENSORY TRAIL
A fun-filled tour designed to stimulate all the senses!
Suitable for everyone, including people who are blind or partially sighted, and families with children aged 7 and over.

AUDIO DESCRIPTION
An audio guide is available for visitors with visual impairments; it enables them to explore the building, its history and its architecture, designed by the architects Lacaton & Vassal.

PERSON WITH REDUCED MOBILITY
- The Frac is fully accessible to people with reduced mobility thanks to special facilities.
- A wheelchair, which can be used within the Frac premises, is available upon presentation of a valid form of ID at reception.
- Folding chairs are also available.
