SUR ET SOUS LES FLOTS « LA RELÈVE »

In resonance with “Voiles de légende”, a joint exhibition brings together artists Åbäke, Sarah Feuillas, and Capucine Vever, presented at the Frac Grand Large and the Risban Lighthouse, in partnership with the Dunkirk Maritime and Port Museum.

At the Risban Lighthouse, Capucine Vever’s video La Relève (from the Frac Grand Large collection) is screened in one of the exhibition rooms. Filmed from the Créac’h semaphore on the island of Ouessant, this work offers a silent contemplation of an apparently empty seascape, while a voiceover evokes an incessant cargo traffic — entirely invisible on screen. This contrast reveals an active yet hidden industrial world, questioning our perception of contemporary maritime networks.

At the Frac Grand Large, from 13 June to 31 August, the exhibition “Over and Under the Waves” presents a series of engravings by Capucine Vever alongside works by Åbäke and Sarah Feuillas, continuing a reflection on maritime landscapes and the stories they inspire.
