MUMO – ÇA CARBURE ! 2

11.08.2025 — 21.11.2025

Off-site /

Starting 11 August 2025, the Musée Mobile (MuMo) returns to Hauts-de-France for a 15-week tour, meeting with 8,000 visitors along the way!

On this occasion, the MuMo is (re)presenting the exhibition “Full Throttle!”, conceived by the Frac Grand Large – Hauts-de-France for a previous 2023 edition, and revisited in 2025 by residents of the Avesnois-Thiérache region. Working with La Chambre d’Eau, “commissaire-passeurs” (guest curators) have enriched the selection with three previously unseen and specially commented works.

The ORAN Duo will punctuate the Musée Mobile’s journey with artistic impromptus, designed to gather visitors’ expressions through the activation of art objects.

Come and discover 20 works taken from the reserves of the Frac Grand Large – Hauts-de-France and Frac Picardie Hauts-de-France, for a journey through contemporary creation.

First presented in 2023 as part of the Dunkirk Art & Industry TriennialFull Throttle! returns for a second edition within the MuMo, touring the Hauts-de-France region.

While the first edition focused on the energies that have shaped our societies, this new edition turns towards fresh representations and interpretations of nature. It addresses current environmental challenges and explores possible responses to pollution and climate change. Through their works, the artists engage with nature in original and thoughtful ways. From imaginary birds to a stool made from recycled ocean plastic, and from the immensity of shipyards to transformed ecosystems, they expose ecological excesses, propose alternatives, or simply push the boundaries of creation. Drawing on natural cycles and environmental forces, their works urge us to reconsider our relationship with the natural world and to envision a more respectful and sustainable future.

This new edition of Full Throttle! also includes a participatory dimension. In partnership with La Chambre d’Eau, the MuMo and the Frac Grand Large have launched the “commissaire-passeurs” project, involving residents of Avesnois-Thiérache in the selection of works and the creation of audio commentaries. Through a series of workshops, a group composed of volunteers, users of the Artothèque de l’Aisne, and the Landrecies Social Center shared their emotions and reflections, which have been recorded into a sound installation available in the exhibition, accompanied by excerpts from their work notebooks. The ORAN Duo will also enliven the tour with artistic impromptus, inviting visitors to express themselves by activating art objects.

Immerse yourself in works from the Frac Grand Large — Hauts-de-France and Frac Picardie collections, for a sensitive and stimulating journey through contemporary creation — where each piece invites reflection on our world and its challenges, while offering a fresh perspective on the interactions between art, nature, and the environment.

Cultural partners: MuMo of the Art Explora Foundation, Frac Picardie, La Chambre d’Eau and its volunteers, the artist duo ORAN, the Landrecies Social Center, the association Mots et Merveilles.
